Manufacturing Engineer
Production
Job Duties:
Assist the Manufacturing Engineering Group with special projects such as operational method sheets, departmental improvements, and in-process testing & training.
Improve, standardize, and document various manufacturing processes.
Communicate with workers on the shop floor to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks and/or problem areas of the production flow.
Work with various department managers and supervisors to make other improvements that would require a fresh perspective.
Help implement manufacturing philosophies such as Lean Manufacturing.
Education/ Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline with a strong desire to work in the manufacturing environment.
Positive attitude and pro-active nature.
Attention to detail during observation and documentation.
Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to work in groups.
The qualified employee must be able to handle multiple tasks as required by the Production Manager as well as those responsibilities of the position.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Windows based applications such as Word, Excel.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Shift: Mon-Fri 8:00a.m. – 5:00p.m.
