Job Title : Engineering Internship

Agilent’s life sciences business addresses the needs of academic, institutional and pharmaceutical scientists in the areas of genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, bioinformatics, and pharmaceutical analysis. LSSU’s instruments, advice, software and services solutions optimize our customers’ workflows in the collection, purification, detection, quantification, characterization and production of DNA, RNA, proteins, other organic molecules and their metabolites.
As an intern in the Genomics business unit, you will apply your coursework and laboratory skills to assist our engineering development team. You will work primarily in the lab, defining, constructing, executing, and analyzing experiments that characterize new components and assemblies for our precision instrumentation. Experience with electronic measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, data acquisition modules), laboratory computer control and measurement (LabView, scripting languages), data analysis (Excel, MathCad, MatLab), and good grounding in basic mechanical, electrical, and/or optical engineering will enable you to make a strong contribution.

Qualifications : Based on background and aptitude, we will consider candidates who have completed their junior or senior year, or who are pursuing a masters degree, in Physics, Mechanical or Electrical engineering, or other appropriate discipline.
