SUMMARY:
As an intern with the DSTS group the candidate will help review, extend and contribute to one or more of the many internal projects currently active within the DSTS group. These include LabVIEW development, web development (php), enterprise systems (python), Linux server maintenance and administration (shell scripting), reports generation (Excel), data analysis (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Oracle) and other related technologies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Add improvements to existing LabVIEW programs
Create web pages within an existing website
Enterprise application development/refactoring
Other duties as required.

Working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in IT/IS or CS
Good communication skills
Ability to learn new concepts
Ability to follow directions as well as work without constant supervision
Web development knowledge is plus
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Undergraduate or graduate intern
At least basic experience with any of these: shell scripting, python, php, ASP, Linux, SQL, Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, C (C# is a plus)
Any experience with LabVIEW is a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be fluent in English
