Job Title Process Engineer I (NCG)
SanDisk Job Description In this position, the individual will develop new or modified process formulations, define processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and review processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacturing, fabrication, and evaluation of semiconductors. The individual will review product requirements with design staff to ensure compatibility of processing methods as well as comply and evaluate test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. The individual may conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes in photo masking, diffusion, deposition, wafer fabrication, and device physics.
This position requires a BS/MS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent and have some knowledge of semiconductor processing and device fundamentals with 0-2 years of experience. The successful candidate should have some knowledge related to general materials characterization and measurement techniques (i.e. SEM, EDX, ellipsometry, SIMS, RBS). Required training on common semiconductor RIE tools (operation, theory, etc) will be given to equip the candidate and excel his/her processing knowledge. Statistical analysis (i.e. DOE) used in semiconductor manufacturing and R&D will be used to analyze processing data. A successful candidate must able to work and interact with a variety of people and processing modules. The ability to communicate in Japanese is a plus but not required. Willing to take extended business travel overseas is required.
The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people. A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team. Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
