Entry Level Engineer opportunity located in San Jose, California
The Shaw Group provides premier engineering, design, construction, and maintenance services to government and private-sector clients in a wide array of industries, including the energy, environmental, infrastructure, and emergency response markets. We are currently seeking the following Entry level Engineer in our San Jose, CA office.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs a variety of engineering work in the initial planning and design phases of projects.
Performs other duties as required.
Work activities include compiling data for project reports, collecting and compiling field data as required, assisting in proposal efforts as directed, documenting technical data for management review, and providing other entry level duties as assigned. Other duties include collection and interpretation of engineering data, development of project design basis, development of specifications, and performance of detailed engineering.
Ensures conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
B.S. Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
Good written, verbal, computer, mechanical aptitude, and subcontractor supervision skills.
One to two years work experience in the environmental or related field, including site investigation, project implementation, and remediation design.
CA driver’s license is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
EIT is required
Current certification of OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
Proficiency in MS Project and MS Power Point.
Prefer experience and knowledge in Air Quality Regulatory Compliance.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Position is full-time, salaried-exempt and is located in Shaw’s San Jose, CA. Office environment with intermittent plant/field engineering environment. This position includes full benefits; medical, dental, vision, 401K, STD, LTD, Life, AD&D, sick time, and vacation.
