Our products and services have been used in a wide variety of government and commercial applications, including the main engines for the space shuttle, Atlas and Delta launch vehicles, and missile defense systems.
Candidate will be learning the design and development of rocket propulsion systems. Candidate may be providing technical support to engineers; assisting technical staff in providing adequate methods to achieve cost reduction, delivery and performance targets; assisting engineers in the design & development of processes to improve production; assisting tool design engineers on various tooling projects. They may also be involved in auditing work instruction files for compliance to procedures and approved technical data.
This in an intern assignment, May/June - August 2009 and is located in Canoga Park, CA.
Candidate must be pursing a BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Student should be a Junior or Senior. Student should have a 3.3 GPA. The candidate must have working knowledge of all Microsoft Software applications. The candidate must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of ProEngineer or AUTOCAD design is desirable. Candidate should be a self-starter and have the ability to work with little direction. Leadership & teamwork skills are a must.
